# March Chadness

## What is March Chadness?

March Chadness is the on-chain version of the biggest bracket challenge in the world, inspired by March Madness. Built on Sei Network, March Chadness brings transparency, dynamic tickets (created as NFTs), and a secondary market to the traditional bracket game, making it more exciting and accessible for everyone.<br>

## How It Works

• **Brackets open on March 16** – After the official NCAA team selection, users can start submitting their full tournament brackets.

• **Submission closes on March 20** – Once the First Round begins, no more brackets can be submitted.

• **Each bracket is represented by a dynamic ticket** – The ticket is a NFT (digital asset) that updates after each round to reflect the number of correct picks.

• **Points-based system** – Winners are determined by points, not just correct picks. Later rounds hold more value - check out the table below.

• **Live leaderboard** – Users can track top-performing brackets throughout the tournament.

• **Secondary market** – After the submission window closes, brackets (digital assets, or NFTs) can be traded on [Magic Eden](https://magiceden.io/).<br>

## Entry & Prize Pool

• **Entry Fee**: **$20 USDC** per bracket (max 10 brackets per account).

• **Prize Distribution**:

* 75% of total entry fees go to the winner ticket - multiple winners share the prize.
* 5% of the pool is redistributed as a cashback incentive to top brackets.
* 10% is dedicated for our referral program
* 10% is the protocol fee

Each correct pick earns points, with later rounds carrying more weight.
